From first conversation to finished kitchen
No mystery, no pressure. Here is exactly what happens when you work with Beau Bijou — from a free consultation through design, supplier selection, ordering and fitting support.
The journey, start to finish
Free consultation
A no-obligation conversation about your property, project stage, practical needs, style, timescale and budget. Impartial guidance — never a hard sell.
Brief & options
We turn your requirements into a clear direction: the type of kitchen, supplier route and service level that best fit your brief. If another route suits you better, we will say so.
Independent design
Professional planning, detailed layouts, photo-realistic visuals and revisions — a design created for your room and your life, not to sell one company’s range.
Supplier selection & quote
We compare suitable options from vetted suppliers and recommend the best fit for your priorities and budget — with an itemised quotation you can actually understand.
Order & delivery
Design confirmed, quotation agreed, order placed. We give you a clear checklist of what happens before installation so there are no surprises.
Installation support
Local to our showroom we can provide and manage the fitter. Elsewhere, use your own fitter or ask for an introduction to a genuinely recommended installer once your kitchen is ordered.
Recommended installers
Our recommended fitters come from customer recommendations, and every one is contacted and checked before joining the network. Fitter details are shared with Beau Bijou kitchen customers once an order is placed.
More than kitchens
Utility rooms are designed as part of your kitchen project. Planning a bedroom or home office too? Ask — we can often help through the same trusted suppliers.
What does the design fee buy?
The design stage is where your kitchen is really made. The fee covers professional design, layouts, visuals, revisions and expert guidance — the work that stops expensive mistakes before they happen. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.

Questions we hear every week
How long does a kitchen design take?
A first draft is usually ready within a few working days of your consultation. Revisions take as long as they take — we keep going until the design is right.
Do I need exact measurements before the first call?
No. Rough sizes, a phone photo and your ideas are plenty for the first conversation. Accurate measurements come later in the process.
Can you work with a supplier I have already chosen?
Yes. We regularly design kitchens for customers who already know where they want to buy — and we will still tell you honestly if we think another option fits your brief better.
Do you cover my area?
Design and supply are available UK-wide, fully remotely if needed. Managed installation is available near our showroom, with recommended installers in a growing list of areas.
What should I have ready for the consultation?
Anything you have: room dimensions, plans, inspiration photos, existing quotes, a rough budget and your ideal timescale. None of it is essential — bring what you have.
