Laminam: architectural surfaces for extraordinary kitchens
Ultra-large porcelain slabs, millimetres thin, in finishes from honed stone to oxidised metal. Here is what Laminam is, where it excels — and how to design it into a kitchen that deserves it.
What is Laminam?
Laminam is large-format sintered porcelain — sheets up to 3.2 metres long made by compacting natural minerals under enormous heat and pressure. The result is a surface of exceptional hardness and near-zero porosity, in thicknesses from 3mm to 20mm.
Why customers choose Laminam
Heat-proof
Hot pans straight from the hob — porcelain shrugs off heat that would scorch laminate or resin.
Scratch & stain resistant
Near-zero porosity means wine, oil and coffee wipe away; daily knives leave no story.
Seamless scale
Full-height splashbacks and island waterfalls with barely a joint in sight.
UV-stable
Colour-fast even in sun-flooded rooms and outdoor kitchens.
Where it works best
Worktops, splashbacks, island cladding, furniture fronts — even integrated invisible induction (see InvisiCook). Thin profiles suit contemporary designs; thicker slabs deliver a monolithic stone look.
Design & installation considerations
Large-format porcelain rewards professional templating and experienced fabrication — edge details, cut-outs and support need planning at design stage, not on site. That is exactly the work our design service does.
